Kevin Stewart ("we", "us", "our") operates Hoof League (the "Game"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Game.

Information We Collect

Hoof League is designed to collect as little personal data as possible.

Information you provide:

• If you contact us for support, we may collect your name and email address.
• If you create an in-game profile, we store your chosen display name.

Automatically collected information:

• Device type, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and performance monitoring.
• Gameplay data such as match results, scores, and progression statistics. This data is stored locally on your device in Phase 1.

We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, or any data beyond what is necessary to operate the Game.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Game.
• Track your in-game progression (XP, level, horseshoe currency).
• Respond to support requests.
• Fix bugs and improve performance.

Data Storage

In Phase 1 (single-player), all gameplay data is stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults. We do not transmit gameplay data to external servers.

When multiplayer features are introduced (Phase 2), match data will be transmitted to our game servers for the purpose of matchmaking, leaderboards, and anti-cheat. Server infrastructure is hosted in the United States.

Third-Party Services

Hoof League may use the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases. Apple's privacy policy applies to transactions processed through the App Store.
• Google Play Store: For Android distribution (future). Google's privacy policy applies.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

In-App Purchases

Hoof League offers optional cosmetic in-app purchases. All transactions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not collect or store your payment information.

Children's Privacy

Hoof League is rated for all ages (4+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The Game does not require account creation to play. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Data Retention

Gameplay data stored locally on your device persists until you delete the app or clear app data. If you contact support, we retain your email for up to 12 months to provide follow-up assistance, after which it is deleted.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to any personal data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your personal data.
• Opt out of any future data collection by uninstalling the Game.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
